No New Posts Shoes or No Shoes
All horses on the planet are scientifically, genetically, anatomically, physiologically, and psychologically the same. Every horse can grow and maintain a rock crushing hoof capable of moving 20-30 miles a day and running from predators over the worse kind of terrain. The hoof is supposed to flex which pumps blood and provides hydraulic type shock absorption for the leg, joints, ligaments and tendons. A metal show nailed to the hoof severely restricts this flexing and, in effect, takes away four of the horse's five "hearts." This is why every natural trimmer I've spoken with, all over the USA, has saved numerous horses from various hoof lameness issues by removing the shoe, trimming following the wild horse model which includes management of diet and lifestyle. It works.

And check out what a metal shoe does to the hoof and leg in this slow motion video on YouTube:

No New Posts Bits or No Bits
I was late coming to it but but Kathleen and I say no bits. It actually works better, never mid the truths of how cruel metal on bone is, no matter how light the hands. We'll soon have a page on this subject on the website.

Please watch the video Dancing Barefoot at www.thesoulofahorse.com. This is the way happy healthy horses are genetically designed to live. Joe
